Saint Vincent College established the Wimmer Scholarship Program to give recognition and substantial financial awards to high school seniors who have achieved academic success as evidenced by a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and minimum SAT score of 1000 on the old exam or 1080 on the new exam (Critical Reading and Math sections only) or minimum ACT composite score of 21. It is expected that these students will also embody the well-rounded approach to life that Saint Vincent College seeks to further develop in its students.
The 2016 Wimmer Scholarship Competition takes place on Saturday, November 19, 2016. The competition offers a top prize of a full tuition, room and board scholarship. Second through fifth place winners receive a full tuition scholarship. The competition is comprised of an exam that includes subject matter in English, mathematics and general knowledge. Prospective students must complete the exam on campus in a set period of time on the exam date.
High school seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and minimum SAT score of 1000 on the old exam or 1080 on the new exam (Critical Reading and Math sections only) or minimum ACT composite score of 21 may register online or by calling the Office of Admission. Registration will open in October 2016.
