  • The 35th Annual Wimmer Scholarship Competition

    Boniface WimmerSaint Vincent College established the Wimmer Scholarship Program to give recognition and substantial financial awards to high school seniors who have achieved academic success as evidenced by a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and minimum SAT score of 1000 (Critical Reading and Math) or minimum ACT Composite score of 21. It is expected that these students will also embody the well-rounded approach to life that Saint Vincent College seeks to further develop in its students.

    The 2015 Wimmer Scholarship Competition takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2015. The competition offers a top prize of a full tuition, room and board scholarship. Second through fifth place winners receive a full tuition scholarship. The competition is comprised of an exam that includes subject matter in English, mathematics and general knowledge. Prospective students must complete the exam on campus in a set period of time on the exam date.

    High school seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and minimum SAT score of 1000 (Critical Reading and Math) or minimum ACT Composite score of 21, may register online or by calling the Office of Admission by Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at 4 p.m.   

    Participating students are required to submit the following prior to the date of the examination:

    • Completed application for admission. 
    • Official high school transcript indicating a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
    • Results of college entrance exam with minimum SAT score of 1000 (Critical Reading and Math) or minimum ACT Composite score of 21. Scores up to the October 2015 administration of the SAT and ACT will be accepted for consideration.
