    Adjunct ESL Instructor

    Saint Vincent College and Seminary seek an adjunct ESL Instructor to teach elementary, and intermediate courses for undergraduate and graduate students in our Integrated English Language Institute. Duties include teaching two courses and assisting with placement and progress testing. The courses for Fall 2014 are ESL 001 Reading and ESL 004 Speaking and Discussion meeting Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings. Master’s degree in TESOL or related degree required. Preferred: 3+ years’ ESL experience; postsecondary teaching. Each course will meet between 3-5 hours per week with enrollment of 6-12 students.

    Saint Vincent College is a Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts and sciences college of about 1700 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students. St. Vincent Seminary is a Roman Catholic Seminary training men, including foreign born students, to sever as priest in the United States. Both the College and the Seminary have a growing international student population. Saint Vincent College and Seminary are located about thirty-five miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a pleasant suburban/rural environment near the foothills of the Laurel Mountains.     Adjunct Professor - Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Computing

    The Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computing at Saint Vincent College is seeking part time faculty applications for possible future needs in day and/or evening courses in the School. Subjects include: Astronomy, Computer Science and Information Technology, Geology, GIS, Introductory Biology, Introductory Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Introductory Environmental Science, Earth System Science, Engineering, Engineering Graphics - including AutoCad, Mathematics, and Physics. 

    The Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Computing offers undergraduate and graduate students a rigorous, integrated curriculum grounded in the founding principles of the Catholic and Benedictine tradition. These principles create an environment for study characterized by mutual respect, personal attention, and open dialogue.     Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in the discipline or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Experience teaching college level courses in the discipline is preferred.
