A Short Biography
Dr. Herr has received numerous awards, including the Boniface Wimmer Faculty Award, which recognizes continuing, distinguished achievement and loyal service to Saint Vincent College and its students, the SVC Faculty Development Grant, a Dissertation Year Fellowship, and the Henry Oliver Award at Indiana University at Bloomington.
Dr. Herr has refereed publications in the Journal of Development Economics, The Economic Journal, and Games and Economics Behavior and has produced a series of labor market studies for the Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board. In addition, he has delivered numerous lectures and participated in several seminars at national conferences and universities outside of Saint Vincent College.
Dr. Herr is active in the community, having served as Treasurer of the Latrobe Union Mission Inn, a homeless men's rehabilitation shelter and as a member of the International Red Cross Service Committee.
Dr. Herr is also the men's cross country and track coach at Saint Vincent College.
