  • What Can I Do With a Major in Management?

     Attributable to the distinctive features listed in this section, McKenna School management majors have obtained jobs in a wide variety of occupations (e.g., banking, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profits, and government) as noted in the Internships and Careers section below. In addition, graduates have pursued advanced degrees in law, public administration, and business.

    • Over the last three years, ranked by the ETS “Major Field Tests in Business” in the top 10% of the nation in management out of 685 accredited (i.e., ACBSP and AACSB) business schools.
    • In addition to human resources management and organizational theory, the management major features Operational Excellence academic infusion with application to the service and manufacturing industries. The program is strongly linked to the McKenna School’s Kennametal Center for Operational Excellence, which runs a coop program for OE minors and has a membership of over 100 firms nationwide.
    • The McKenna School offers SAP certification. SAP’s comprehensive business software suite is utilized by thousands of prominent world class companies (e.g., Kennametal Inc., Heinz Corporation, KPMG, Latrobe Specialty Steel Co., Siemens, …)
