    A Short Biography

    In 2009, she was honored with the Quentin Schaut Award for outstanding junior faculty member. She is also a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business Administration.

    Dr. Edmiston has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Howard University, Johns Hopkins University, Trinity College, University of Maryland University College, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and West Virginia University. Her course specialties include Internet Marketing and Global Marketing.

    Her educational background includes a Doctor of Management from University of Maryland University College, where she earned Phi Kappa Phi honors. Her dissertation received the 2008 Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Alice L. Beeman Award for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation. Her research has been published in the International Journal of Educational Advancement, Journal of Marketing for Higher Education and American Marketing Association Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education Proceedings.

    Dr. Edmiston also holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a BS in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an AA from Elmira College. She is an alumnae of the international exchange programme at London Business School.

    Prior to joining academia, Dr. Edmiston held senior management roles with IBM Business Consulting Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting Services, and Discovery Communications (to include the Discovery Channel, TLC, Travel Channel, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel Online).
