• Internships and Careers in Educational Information and Library Studies

    • Candidates in the Educational Information and Library Studies track complete an internship in the school library, which allows candidates to work with a qualified school librarian in both an elementary and secondary setting for a total of 100 hours. Library candidates will gain experience performing bibliographic instruction, selection and classification of materials, and daily library services.
    • A master’s degree also makes candidates more marketable when applying for teaching positions.
