    Senior Fellow  

    Bill Boxx is Chairman and CEO of the Philip M. McKenna Foundation based in Latrobe, PA. The foundation’s primary interests are in public policy, academic affairs and local community programs. His previous experience includes positions in corporate administration and government affairs for Kennametal Inc. and social services for the State of Arkansas.

    Mr. Boxx was instrumental in founding the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government at Saint Vincent College and was the founding chairman of its Council of Advisors, on which he continues to serve. He also founded, with Gary M. Quinlivan, the Center for Political and Economic Thought at Saint Vincent, and was the principal designer of the Aurelius Scholars and George Washington Fellows programs. As Senior Fellow of the Center, he contributes to its planning and general administration and advises on programming and academic affairs.

    Mr. Boxx previously served on the boards of several public affairs and educational organizations, including: the Commonwealth Foundation for Public Policy Alternatives, where he was a founding member and past chairman; the Pennsylvania Business Council, where he was chairman of its education foundation; the Intercollegiate Studies Institute; and Saint Vincent College. He currently serves on the board of the Salvatori Center at Claremont McKenna College.

    Mr. Boxx has co-edited books and written on political and social thought. His educational background includes a B.A. in Sociology from Arkansas State University, an M.A. in Theology from Saint Vincent Seminary, and additional graduate studies at Duquesne University.
