The law is a profession for men and women who feel the calling to dedicate their lives to the pursuit of justice through the study and practice of law. It is not a profession to be pursued casually or by default. These are the realities you will face if you choose the law as a career: 

• The study of law is a long, arduous and, quite often, expensive process. 
• The job market for new law school graduates is extremely difficult and highly competitive. 
• Excellence in the practice of law requires many hours of dedicated work and personal sacrifice.

You will embrace these realities if the law is your vocation; you should not undertake them if it is not.
