Br. Elliott's principle academic interests are in the area of New Testament study. He has written a prize-winning book on the Gospel of Mark, contributed his expertise in ancient biblical languages as a translator and revisor of the New American Bible (1986 revision) and in other technical writings, and has recently completed on St. Paul as a master of the Spiritual Life "in Christ". Although his primary involvement is with Saint Vincent Seminary, he greatly enjoys teaching New Testament topics in the College and lecturing in a variety of adult Bible study venues. Br. Elliott is Landscape Liaison of the Archabbey to the College where he has enjoyed directing a work study landscaping crew year-round since 1976. He enjoys music and likes to perform as a vocalist in a variety of settings. Br. Elliott has traveled extensively and often in Brazil and has made five visits to Africa, where he concludes his online courses in person at the Dominican seminary in Nigeria. He likes to lead tours to Rome, Italy, the study of whose culture is his avid hobby.
