    School of Humanities and Fine Arts (HFA) Outcomes: July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012  

    • Historically, HFA students have a 100% acceptance rate at law schools.  May 2012 graduates are enrolled at:  Carnegie Mellon University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Northeastern University Law School, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Point Park University, Pontifical College Josephinum, Saint Vincent College, Temple University, University of Pittsburgh, and Washington and Lee University Law School.
       
    • HFA students traveled and studied abroad in countries including:  Chile, China, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Peru.
       
    • HFA students worked as interns at:  American Carpatho Russian Orthodox Diocese, Antiochian Village Museum, Artist Diane Samuels, Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Camp Nawakwa, Carnegie Historical Society, Cribbs & Associates, Detroit Institute of Art, Duquesne University, Fort Steuben, Good Samaritan Hospital, Greensburg Central Catholic High School, INPAX, International Samaritan, Latrobe Excela Health, Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau, Maritom, Meadowcroft Rock Shelter and Historic Village, Mountainview Specialty Care Center, Mylan Pharmaceuticals Incorporated, Office of the Federal Register at the National Archives, Old St. Lukes, Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, Palace Theatre of Greensburg, Pennsylvania History and Museum Commission, Powdermill Nature Reserve, Saint Benedict Parish, Saint Vincent College, Saint Vincent Gristmill, Saint Vincent Parish, SkyLight Photography, SPHS Behavioral Health, St. Lynn's Press, Westmoreland Choral Society, Westmoreland County Historical Society, and Westmoreland Museum of Art .
       
    • HFA student academic activities:
      • Thirty-three students inducted into national Honor Societies in English, History, Language, and Theology.
      • One student article accepted for publication in an online literary magazine.
      • National and regional student participation and academic recognition:  Classical Singer Convention; Isabel Sparks President's Award, National English Honor Society Conference; Pittsburgh Symphony Pops All-Star College Choir; Up North Vocal Institute; and the Western PA Phi Alpha Theta Conference and History Forum.
       

    • Outstanding and dedicated HFA teaching faculty active in scholarship:      
      • Books:  10 authored, 2 translated, 1 edited, 4 forthcoming
      • Publications (articles, book chapters and reviews, poems, translations):  18 published, 1 accepted, 1 pending, 1 under contract, and 2 under review
      • Conferences, Conventions, and Workshops Attended:  27
      • Presentations (papers, talks, readings):  48
