    Saint Vincent College Campus Ministry and Knights of Columbus Chapter recently hosted a display of 70 panels depicting Eucharistic miracles throughout church history. The exhibit is currently being displayed at locations throughout the United States in an effort to increase devotion to the presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

    Dr. Robert M. Friedlander, professor and chairman of the department of neurological surgery and UPMC Endowed Professor of Neurosurgery and Neurobiology at UPMC Presbyterian, will give a talk at 7 p.m. Monday, November 7 in the ongoing Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Computing Lecture Series in the Dr. Frank J. Luparello Lecture Hall in the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion at Saint Vincent College. His topic is “Role of Death Cell Pathways in Neurologic Diseases and a Career as a Physician Scientist.” Admission is free and open to the public.

    The Bearcat Campaign to End Hunger, sponsored by the Saint Vincent College Student Government Association, completed a successful effort this week with donations of more than 150 non-perishable food items and nearly $500 cash delivered to the End Hunger Café in Latrobe.

Foster at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 16 in the Fred M. Rogers Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College. His talk is entitled, The Trials of Congress’ Misnamed ‘Super Committee.’

    A research paper by Dr. Paul Follansbee, James F. Will Professor of Engineering Science at Saint Vincent College, entitled “Characterizing the Defect Population Introduced by Radiation Damage,” was voted “best paper” by the Nuclear and Environmental Technology Division (NETD) of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and recognized at the 2011 Materials Science and Technology Conference at the Columbus Convention Center on October 17.
