Directions and Where to Stay

  • By Automobile

    From Pittsburgh, Ohio and points west: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76 east, to exit 67 (old exit 7) Irwin/North Huntingdon, bear right at the exit ramp and take U.S. Route 30 East 15 miles. At the stop light at Saint Vincent Drive, turn left onto Fraser Purchase Road (unmarked), go 1/2 mile, and turn left onto campus. Stop at the Entrance Booth for parking information and further direction.

    From Harrisburg, Philadelphia, New Jersey and points east: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76 West, to exit 91 (old exit 9) Donegal, take Pennsylvania Route 711 North to junction with U.S. Route 30 in Ligonier, take Route 30 West 10.4 miles to the stop light at Saint Vincent Drive, turn right onto Fraser Purchase Road (unmarked), go 1/2 mile, and turn left onto campus. Stop at the Entrance Booth for parking information and further direction.

    From Erie, Buffalo and points north: Take Interstate 79 south to its junction with I-76, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, at gate 28 (old gate 3) Cranberry/Perry Highway. Take I-76 east to exit 67 (old exit 7) Irwin/North Huntingdon, bear right at the exit ramp and take U.S. Route 30 East 15 miles. At the stop light at Saint Vincent Drive, turn left onto Fraser Purchase Road (unmarked), go 1/2 mile, and turn left onto campus. Stop at the entrance Booth for parking information and further direction.

    From Baltimore, Washington and points south: Take Interstate 70 west to its junction with I-76, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, at gate 161 (old gate 12) Breezewood, proceed on I-76 west to exit 91 (old exit 9) Donegal, take Pennsylvania Route 711 North to its junction with U.S. Route 30 in Ligonier, take Route 30 West 10.4 miles to the stop light at Saint Vincent Drive, turn right onto Fraser Purchase Road (unmarked), go 1/2 mile and turn left onto campus. Stop at the Entrance Booth for parking information and further direction.

  • By Air

    Saint Vincent College is conveniently located within driving distance of two airports. The Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, located in Unity Township about 1/4 mile east of the campus on U.S. Route 30, accommodates private and corporate aircraft and provides scheduled direct flights to Dallas, Myrtle Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. For shuttle service to campus, taxis are available through Veterans Cab at 724-537-7708. The Pittsburgh International Airport is located about 60 miles west of campus. From Pittsburgh International, follow the signs for Pittsburgh (I-279 north) and after going through the Fort Pitt Tunnel, stay in the right lane and take I-376 East, known as the Parkway East, to its junction with I-76, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, in Monroeville. Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76 East, from Pittsburgh/Monroeville, which is gate 57 (old gate 6), to exit 67 (old exit 7) Irwin/North Huntingdon, bear right at the exit ramp and take U.S. Route 30 East 15 miles. At the stop light at Saint Vincent Drive, turn left onto Fraser Purchase Road (unmarked) and go 1/2 mile to campus entrance sign, turn left onto campus. Stop at the Entrance Booth for parking information and further direction.

  • By Bus

    Greyhound Bus Lines, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in the U.S., offers daily service from the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (located across U.S. Route 30 from the Saint Vincent campus) to and from Pittsburgh connecting to points west including Buffalo, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Erie, Lexington, Memphis and St. Louis, and to and from Harrisburg connecting to points east including Baltimore, Boston, Hartford, New York City, Newark, Philadelphia, Richmond, Washington, D.C., Wilmington and Springfield. Buses depart for Pittsburgh at 4:30 p.m. and 7:25 p.m. daily (travel time is one hour and 20 minutes). Buses depart for Harrisburg at 7:35 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. daily (travel time is five hours and 25 minutes).

Parking

Upon arrival, prospective students, alumni visitors and other guests will be asked to park their vehicle in Parking Area A, adjacent to the Fred Rogers Center. Please consult the campus map below to locate designated parking areas. Any vehicle parked without a valid parking permit or in an invalid parking area may receive a citation.

Enforcement of all parking rules and regulations are managed by Saint Vincent Department of Public Safety personnel.
