Dr. Walter has published in journals such as Oecologia on her research in the tropics. Long term studies of local stream ecology have been published in collaboration with outside experts and students and presented at the Pennsylvania Academy of Sciences, the National Conference of Undergraduate Research, and international meetings of stream ecologists.
