Br. Elliott's principle academic interests are in the area of New Testament study. He has written a prize-winning book on the Gospel of Mark, contributed his language abilities in the translation of the New American Bible (1986 revision) and other technical writings, and is presently working on a book on the Life in the Spirit of St. Paul. Although his primary involvement is with Saint Vincent Seminary, he greatly enjoys teaching New Testament topics in the College. Br. Elliott is Landscape Liaison of the Archabbey to the College where he has enjoyed directing a workstudy landscaping crew year-round since 1976. He enjoys music and likes to perform as a vocalist in a variety of settings. Br. Elliott has traveled extensively and often in Brazil and is planning a fourth visit to Africa, where he will teach an online course in Nigeria that he will conclude there in person in May-June 2010. He likes to lead tours to Rome, Italy, the study of whose culture is his avid hobby.
