Professor of Fine Arts (Music Division) Carey Center, Room 32 724-805-2263 (on campus ext. 2263) albert.tiberio@email.stvincent.edu Dr. Tiberio's CV Dr. Tiberio has held posts including Music Chair in three universities, three colleges, and three conservatories. A composer of more than 40 compositions, his works have been chosen for performance at such prestigious events as the death of President Kennedy and the Vietnam War Memorial. In addition, Dr. Tiberio has a new work scheduled to be presented for the unveiling of the national "9/11" Shanksville, PA monument. His most recent commissions include new orchestral and choral works for a United Nations peace pageant and a concerto for the Boston Symphony. In addition, Dr. Tiberio has held the position of principal conductor of more than 24 symphony orchestras, chamber orchestras, symphonic bands, vocal, choral, and instrumental ensembles as well as that of assistant conductor of the Pittsburgh Opera. He has also performed in symphony orchestras throughout 14 countries of Europe, has held the post of European Musical Director, has lectured and been the recipient of musical honors and awards in both the U.S. and Europe, and has authored three books and numerous articles. Dr. Tiberio's teaching preparations include Music Theory and Harmony, Composition, Conducting, Form and Analysis, Orchestration, Sight Singing, Ear Training and Solfeggio, Music History and Literature, The Symphony, 20th Century Music, American Music, The Opera, The Concerto, Chamber Music, and Music Methods and Pedagogy.
