So today in Field Bio, we went canoeing. No, you did not read me wrong, I wrote canoeing. So silly. We went back to good old Keystone Lake and get ourselves into canoes and tested the heck out of that water. We tested a vast array of things that included pH, conductivity, the oxygen in the water and the clarity. My lab partner, Gaby and myself checked out the amount of oxygen and the temperature of the water at different levels. This made sound boring and easy, but in a canoe, everything is different. Even watching paint dry in a canoe might turn out to the best time one has ever had. Or maybe I stretch the truth a tid bit, but it is a lot of fun. After canoeing and almost being arrested by the police for swimming in the wrong area of the lake (opps!), we headed back to shore for a short lecture before returning back to school. While on shore, an old man approached us and told us this ridiculous story about how the other day he picked up a stick to bat away a snake and as it would turn out, the snake was really a stick and the stick he picked up was really a snake! What a laugh! Also, I will perform my monolouge on stage tomorrow! I'm only slighly nervous as I have practiced it 40 million times. It should go well, wish me luck!
