Sha Sha Shakespeare

So my friend and fellow blogger, the lovely Jillian Janflone is el presidente of the Shakespeare club here on campus. I do so enjoy watching their plays, but I have never been much for acting and especially in a Shakespeare play.

But here's the kicker: In the Spring, Shakespeare club puts on a production called Scenes from Shakespeare and gives students the opportunity to write their own original scene based on a Shakespeare play or featuring references to the Bard. I went to this production last year and a blast.

Well this year when I was traveling to Harrisburg via train (aka the most boring form of transportation ever invented) I came up with an idea and I wrote it all down. Within a day I had an original mini-play. I was thrilled to have my play accepted to a part of this year's Scenes From Shakespeare.

It features modernized scenes from three Shakespeare plays and yes, it's set to music. This production will be put on the weekend of Spring Fest, April 16-18, I believe. Come see it! You won't regret it. I'm putting the Shake back into Shakespeare! Corny, but oh so true.
