SVC on the Weekends

The weekends here at SVC, unfortunately leave something to desired. This is not to say that I don't like the weekend. Sleeping is my hobby, so anything that allows me to do a lot of that is a good thing. But, I must protest the lack of stuff to do on campus over the weekends.

There are no events, nothing to do, no people, I think they even suck the air out of the campus over the weekend. I think they should start doing big events every Saturday for those of us who would like something to do on a Saturday afternoon. I have a few suggestions: Free showings of new movies, free concerts, free comedy shows: notice the emphasis on the word free. I love going to see movies and the weekend is the perfect time for such an event, but $9.50/ticket is a hefty price to pay on a regular basis, especially when you're a poor college kid.

Speaking of movies, my friends Em and Jillian and myself all went to go see Coraline in 3D. Awesome. Too cool for school. Go see it immediately. Especially because you get sweet 3D glasses that you get to KEEP. Warning: Don't go bringing small children, bad idea.
