As my junior year is well underway, I think maybe now it's about time to make a statement of fact: This year has been the hardest, but altogether the best year I've had not only since college began, but ever since I came remember. I have become uber-involved on campus, adding to my crazy schedule. I am, as you know, directing a scene from Shakespeare and working for the school's literary mag. But I'm also working 6 jobs, 2 internships, running my club, which is planning a walk, a Tom's Shoes event, and a HUGE concert. I'm also taking 6 classes. Needless to say, things are crazy. But I love it. I actually disliked freshman year. I think I had way too much time on my hands. Being busy is good. It helps that most of my classes are pretty decent. I am especially enjoying my Documentary History class where we're actually learning about history AND making a documentary. It's on coverlets (read: stupid fancy blankets), mind you, but it's a documentary all the same. I also love my fiction class. My roommate, Kylie who is also in the class, and I struggle to write fiction because we always have to sneak a little truth into it. But that's the fun part. The class has a great dynamic. There are a lot of really cool people in the class and I enjoying reading their pieces. My club is also consuming my life right now because we're planning our benefit concert, Hutchapalooza. My roommate, Kylie had this idea last year and it was such a success that we decided to do it again. Last year we just let anyone play, but this year we are hosting auditions. These start this week and continue into next week. I'm excited, but as you can guess, they are going to be super time consuming. In any case, in my case, the busier, the better. Speaking of being busy, I've got work to do! Later calculators.
