Folks, I am coming to you here, from good old Saltsburg, Pa. This is my home for those of you who are not stalkers and don't know every detail of my life, like I where I live, for instance. As promised, I have been watching a lot of movies since break began. It's been less than a week and I've already seen Run Fat Boy Run, Bedazzled, American Gangster, The Heartbreak Kid, the rest of Sixteen Candles and countless others. Among those countless others are Kevin Smith's Mallrats and my personal favorite, already seen, The Pursuit of Happyness. This has gotten me thinking about those two crazy Smiths. Will Smith is, without a shadow of doubt, a god. He's no Morgan Freeman, but he is so close it hurts. But then he goes and makes movies like Hitch, which are cute, but lifeless and I Am Legend which I cannot even speak about because the insults for this movie have not even been invented yet. I don't even have to see it to know this. Yes, I'm judging. Pursuit of Happyness is a great film, in fact, an amazing film and a true story no less. Will makes this film shine. If you haven't seen it, do so. It will change your life. No, really. Run. It's worth it. Will is coming out with a new film called Seven Pounds. It's about a guy who feels he is responsible for his wife's recent suicide and thus decides to ends his own life. But before he does it, he devises a plan to change the lives of 7 people. I can't wait to see it. It's by the same people that produced Pursuit of Happyness, so I just know it's gonna be good. Then there is Kevin Smith. One can say I just discovered this Smith because I wasn't aware of his awesomeness until yesterday, but I fell in love with Kevin before I even knew it was Kevin Smith when he played Gray's dead fiancee's best friend in Catch & Release. It was a great show. Worth seeing as well. I own it if you by chance want to borrow it. Well anyways, besides being in movies (He's also in the new movie Zack & Miri Make a _____. Well you know, hunh? He also directed it and wrote it! Haha), he's first and foremost, a director. He grew up in Jersey, which, if you didn't know, is big on its malls (you like how I say this as if I am an expert on Jersey?) Anyways, so Kevin created this hysterical gem, Mallrats about two guys, among many, who go to the mall just to hang out, hence the term, mallrats. Anyways, this film is genius because it's funny, fresh, and mostly innovative. The best part is that it's not new. I mean, it's so cool you'd think it was made in 2008, but it dates back to 1995. That would make it timeless, hunh? Anyways, even if you don't watch it (which would be a tragedy and a travesty rolled into one), you NEED to find out what a stinkpalm is. Haha. Like now. Why are you still reading this?
