Until today, I never had realized how potentially dangerous my major could be. As a physics major, I will one day become a physicist. As a physicist, I could potentially be: -Horribly injured in a freak accident involving lightning, anti-gravity devices and lasers. -Stuck in the Jurassic period with carnivorous dinosaurs and a broken time machine. -Responsible for the end of the world by way of nanobots, supercolliders, or nuclear reactions. -Mutated in a lab experiment gone awry, making me either a super hero or super villain, depending on my outlook on life, lust for power, appearance, and abilities. -Sent by NASA to destroy an asteroid headed for earth. The catch is that I have to blow myself up with the asteroid. -Sent by NASA to probe the insides of a black hole, and then never heard from again. -Bitten in the jugular vein by a lab rat. -Forced at gunpoint to work on a super weapon for an evil dictator. -Abducted by aliens to save their planet from certain destruction. -Subjected to people asking me every day if I was on the show "The Big Bang Theory."
