it's beginning to look a lot like [summer]

It seems like just yesterday we were walking around campus in the snow all bundled up in our 5 layers, yet here it is, close to the end of April and summer is definitely in the air. You can tell it's almost summer for several reasons:

1) the beautiful warm weather! It's great to walk outside and see students laying out on the fields doing homework and enjoying the sunshine...aka trying to get some color after being huddled indoors for several months. Which leads me to number two...

2) first sunburn of the season. Yep, yours truly spent two hours outside reading her abnormal psych book and got some lovely coloring...reminiscent of that of a lobster. Oh the joys of fair hair and blue eyes!

3) the AC is on! WOOO! But not until after a week of rather uncomfortably warm nights - I can tell you that if you were ever doubtful of the law of physics stating that warm air rises, living on the 5th floor of Benny will prove it to you real fast.

4) and....the crunch before exams. There's only a week left of classes, and everyone is definitely feeling it with last minute projects, tests, and whatever else professors decide they would like to cram in before exam week. yippy skippy...

It's hard to believe that I'm practically done with my first year of college...moving in for pre-season for soccer Aug 19 seems so long ago, yet at the same time it feels like the year has flown by. How different everything was a year ago, finishing up senior year of high school, deciding where we were going to go for college...it's pretty weird thinking about it. But I know I definitely made the right choice! I couldn't be happier anywhere else. So good luck to all of you high school seniors in picking your college!
