Midterm Week

So it's that time again, one of the two most despised weeks of the semester: Midterm Week (I'm sure all you smart kids can guess what the other week is...*coughcough*finals*cough*). But actually, I've been pretty lucky. I only had one test last semester that week, and this semester I only have one again, so I have yet to experience the crunch time involved with MW. Not that I'm complaining, of course. So all I have to do is get through this week and then I'll have a week to relax and sleeeeeeep...I'm so excited to sleep. A month and some weeks of 8:30am classes all week is no fun. Note to self: next semester, at least pick a few days to sleep in a little!

Two weekends ago Ariel took us into Pittsburgh on our blindfold mystery trip. She got the five of us (plus Matt, who wasn't blindfolded since he helped plan the trip) down to the lobby in Benny, passed out the personalized blindfolds - everyone had their own color, and led us out to the car and we were on our way. When we were allowed to take them off, we found ourselves at Phipps Conservatory at the Chihuly glass exhibit. It was AMAZING. Chihuly is a glass-blowing artist and they put his works in with the gardens and flowers, it was absolutely beautiful; not to mention provided A LOT of fun things to pose with and take funny pictures! There were glass flowers, whole rooms with color themes, and random shapes and objects. My favorite was (picture included) a wooden boat in the middle of a pond with a waterfall and beautiful glass balls in it and floating in the water. It was so pretty, and it looked like something out of a fairytale. We all had a blast, and topped off the trip with lunch at Yokoso! Japanese Steakhouse down at the Waterfront.  We all had so much fun that we've decided to make it at least a once-a-month kind of thing, with each person taking turns to plan a trip with Ariel. It's a great way to mix it up on the weekends and get out and do something.

Well, I better stop procrastinating and finish up my reading for my Abnormal Psych test on Thursday - really interesting class, btw, with Dr. Oldenburg. Definitely recommend taking it if you can.
