We're now on our 3rd week of the semester, and so far taking 19 credits hasn't killed me...the worst part is trying to stay up on the massive amount of reading. Abnormal Psych is really interesting, and my directed research course is pretty interesting too. I'm working with my advisor, Dr. Rivardo, on research involving the effect of cell phone and passenger conversations on driving using a driving simulator. It's pretty neat to be only a freshman and working on this, but I'm really glad to have my friend Jill with me so I'm not the only one! The rest of my classes are pretty good, although having a night class is almost as bad as having 8:30am classes all week (both of which I am oh so lucky to have this semester)...6:30p - 9:15p every Thursday. Ugh. It just saps the energy right out of you. We had an 80s Dance a week ago, which was a lot of fun. Well, the best part was dressing up for it...my friends and I went all out with the crazy makeup and big hair and bright clothes...it rather looked like a rainbow threw up on us. The 80s were great for music, but I'm thinking not so much for fashion... This weekend we decided to have a spontaneous trip to go cosmic bowling. It was the most random thing...my roommate and I went to the basketball game Saturday night, saw our friend Kevin and his friend from Duquesne, decided that bowling would be fun, rounded up 5 other people, and went cosmic bowling from 12am - 2am. It was so much fun, we've decided it needs to be a regular outing! There's still some snow left outside, but we haven't gotten a chance to go sledding yet, which is a bummer especially since we brought sleds back up with us after Christmas break. AND Campus Ministry has tubes we can use as well...hopefully it will snow a lot...and soon!
