Well my week of Spring Break is practically over, and I'm proud to say that it consisted mostly (and by mostly I mean in the ballpark of 77.84%) of sleeping. I didn't quite realize just how sleep deprived I was until I got home and slept for 13 hours straight. Needless to say it was a much-needed relaxation. I actually got to read a book or two that I wanted to read (*gasp*), did some homework (*more gasps*), and took full advantage of being able to curl up by our fireplace and take a nap with the cat. There really wasn't much else to do anyway since all of my friends from home were still at school - really...who has SPRING Break at the end of February? Is not the whole point to enjoy nice, warm, SPRING weather? Last time I checked, I do believe February was still in winter. Even with an extra day. And then we come back for 2 and a half weeks until Easter Break. Ah well, it was nice to be home...even though I was totally jealous of my friends who got to go off galavanting around the world...to Florida and Hilton Head for sports, and Rome and Brazil for school-related stuff. I can't wait until I go to Ireland in May with the Honors Program. Another thing I realized while home in Maryland, enjoying the warmer 50/60 degree weather...and I never ever thought I'd say this, but I do believe that I'm rather done with the whole snow thing...I know I know, I was the snow-deprived kid who was all excited when it flurried in November, but I'm really ready to be done with the snow and sleet and really really cold (-15 degrees and we still have to go to class? really? haha) weather. It's not as much fun when school doesn't get cancelled and you can sleep in... I think the highlight of my break was quite possibly the return of my cat from the groomer. You see, Smokey is a long haired cat, and she has the unfortunate problem of her fur always getting matted. So we last year we decided that visits to the groomer were necessary. And the result was a "lion cut." True to the name, your feline returns resembling a miniature lion...mane and poof on the tail. The first time my mom brought her home, I sat on the floor and cried, I was laughing so hard. Tuesday she went again, and I decided to take a picture to share the amusement.
