The St. Vincent people have arrived! Well, they did arrive. They’re gone now, off to their own separate land. But, they were here! I have the photos and the stuff they left behind to prove it. O’Mara basically came back from the great North early and made a tour of those he knew in Western Pa. There was even a Facebook group about it—The O’Mara Custody Battle—which tells you how badly I wanted to stop studying one day. Tim went with Nate first, and then migrated to my home. Alexa came down as well, and it was a mini-reunion. I was quite excited that they got to meet Phil in depth, and that Philip got along well with them. We went out to eat the first night at Max and Ermas, where Tim’s luck with food spread over to his dessert. He received a free dessert (in honor of his birthday), and it was a delectable piece of chocolate cake. I know this because he shared with everyone. Nate then ordered cookies, which were denied to him as the computer was broken. I still don’t know what that has to do with cookies, but hey. Instead, he also got free cake. The next day Nate left to go visit some more SVC people, and the rest of us (plus Phil) went on a ten mile run on the Montour trial. It is choice running, though there is a VERY creepy tunnel you have to pass through. It goes on for a minute or two, and is extremely dark on the inside. If I ever film a horror movie, I will film it there. Anyway, we followed this up with more eating—this time at Red Robin—where Phil distinguished himself by eating two burgers. Afterwards Alexa and Phil both went home, and Tim and I watched movies and feasted with my family. (Do you sense an eating trend?) We also went out to the movies, where I saw National Treasure 2. Which is funny, considering the fact that I’ve never seen National Treasure 1. After that movie, we continued the trend by watching The Illusionist. The next morning there was a bit of confusion about how Tim was getting to Alexa’s house, but it all got sorted out. After Tim left I went out to grab food/coffee with Philip and some former teachers of mine. That was of the fun, but man, did we talk A LOT. Too many English people together, really. And now, I leave you all, as I shall be back at SVC in a few days!
