It is the 4th of July, and I have declared my independence through macaroni salad and and irrelevant picture.

My silly job and Montana

Sometimes my job makes me giggle due to its ridiculousness. It would also be helpful if I could spell "ridiculousness." I always want to put an "e" instead of an "i" for some reason...

Factories and the Website
Factories and the Website

I am working in a factory again this summer. It is a bit less than fun. Also, I noticed some things about the SVC website that I would like to comment upon. You also get to see some shiny paint cans from the theater that I took a some pictures of.

Sometimes I hear a toilet flush and it makes me want to beat my face against a wall.

Well it is the first day of finals week, and I do not think that I have failed any of my tests yet. Alas, tomorrow may change that encouraging trend. Also, I believe I will start freaking out if I hear a toilet flush too many more times while I am trying to sleep. Read on if you are entirely confused.

Finals, and Hutchapalooza

Well next week is finals, but last week was Hutchapalooza, and it was superb! Also, check out Generation Magazine on the English Major part of this (the SVC) website! Though the lovely picture here was not taken at Hutchapalooza, it was taken on that night, so it sort of counts. I did not have my camera at the actual concert, sadly enough.

No, I am not convinced that my Nalgene bottle will kill me

There has apparently been some sort of a study that has people convinced that reusable plastic bottles will stage some sort of revolt and kill their owners by way of BPA hormone disrupters. I do not believe in this rumor. Also, everyone on campus should recycle, starting . . . NOW!

Hiccoughs, (or perhaps hiccups) and Horses

Today I let you into the strange secret of my life. It involves hiccups, or hiccoughs if you prefer, and I also talk about horses some more, and dogs and cats for good measure. Hooray! As an added bonus you get to see a picture of my cat Nala. Yes she was named after the character in the Lion King, but the first "a" has the long "a" sound instead of the short "a" like in the movie. Either way, it is a way better name than "Tiger" for a tabby cat.

Why, yes! Telepathy would make me a more productive person!

The book that I have just finished reading made me think of telepathy quite a bit. I have decided that it sounds like a good idea. Interestingly enough, I am not thinking about talking with others, just a word processor. What can I say, it is me. (Insert smiley face here.)

My Internal Struggle at the Library
My Internal Struggle at the Library

Well, it is Easter break, and I should be working on a paper. I did try really hard, but I just got caught up in my own head. Which is a pretty crazy place to be. It kind of reminds me of the "The Far Side" comic strip. Just in case you are wondering, the photo displays what happens when the sun hits a CD at the correct angle, it creates a rainbow, and I am in the same room with it alone . . .

We have been gone for two hours, and what did we buy? A necktie and a spork.

I believe that many of the things that I do are silly, and the aforementioned statement sort of sums it--the weirdness--into a neat package. Also, I would like to say that weekends are my favorite because they contain no tests. (The photo was taken behind my house during spring break by the way.)

The Ramblings of a Lunatic at 11:08 AM
The Ramblings of a Lunatic at 11:08 AM

I am feeling increasingly loopy today. It is actually a reasonable hour, and I am not making sense to myself, let alone to anyone else. I suppose that writing this journal is sort of a warm up for the paper that I actually have to write. Maybe that will not be quite as incoherent. (Even my photo is vague and incoherent.)

“College is a place where you broaden your mind and then you want to punch people.”

You may be wondering why I would make such a silly title for my journal. The fact is, one of my closest friends here at SVC said that after people made a travesty of something that she feels very strongly about. This is a very serious subject that is close to her heart and close to home, and I really want people to understand instead of just being unaware.

Sometimes I Wonder If My Analogies Make Sense Only In My Head
Sometimes I Wonder If My Analogies Make Sense Only In My Head

Through a series of fairly typical events I have decided that I have the attention span of a toaster. This particular toaster is broken. It is broken in such a way that the little mechanism that holds down the bread to cause it to become toast does not work. This means the bread will actually never become toast, because the bread does not stay in the toasty area long enough. So, I am a broken toaster.

Another Year, Another Semester

I am once again back at SVC ready for a new semester. This time I am excited about all of my classes, and I believe the semester will be a good one. I have also discovered that if I leave a clear bottle of water on my desk, whenever I bump the desk, the top of the water tells me that T-Rex is coming.
