After seeing yet another article on the Yahoo! front page complaining about the high price of gas, I have had about enough. Yes, we all realize that gas is getting more expensive. Yes, it really stinks, but why do we have to be constantly reminded of it when we are just going to pay for the gas anyway? I believe anyone who constantly bemoans the price of gas should just start to walk everywhere. Maybe they will not have to spend as much money. It will be better for the environment, too. Then they would probably complain about how much their feet hurt, how it was raining today, etc. OK, enough about gas prices, how about my weekend.
Well this was a super weekend with Spring-Fest on Saturday. I was outside most of the day helping out at the Equestrian Club or English Club booths. The Equestrian Club booth had a sort of giant game board set up for you to ride stick horses on while playing. The game was a simple Candyland type game, but the stick horses were my favorite. We named them all when we were there, and the names ranged from Chocolate, to Moon Bounce, to my personal favorite (named by me) Fernando. He was black and fuzzy with a white mane and I wanted to steal him. I did not, however because they all would have known it was me.
The English Club booth was fun too because right when I got there it started to be quite windy, which caused all of the letters from the giant Scrabble board to blow away. The booth involves a giant Scrabble board if you haven’t caught on to that yet. But I got to chase down pieces of Scrabble. Hooray!
I think the best part about the day was when my friend Sara painted a tree on my arm. She was working at a face painting booth, and when I asked for a tree, she certainly delivered. The tree was pretty fantastic, it extended from my wrist all the way up to the crease at my elbow. It also had a pretty blue birdy and a squirrel climbing up the tree.
On Sunday my parents came to visit because it was my 20th birthday. Hooray my number 20 birthday on the 20th of April! We got lost in Greensburg for a while and then we went out to lunch at a tasty Italian restaurant where I got chicken parmesan. We then came back to school and they took some of my stuff home. Oh, I am ready for summer vacation. I am ready to sit outside in the sun and not be worried about papers and whatnot. Well, I need to go back to worrying about papers, so here I go!
