Sometimes during the course of my daily life, I wonder where all of the time goes, and then I remember all of the activities that I have engaged in, and say to myself “Oh, that is what I have been doing for the last 5 hours, and is the reason that I still am not finished with my paper.” Actually I did not really have anything extremely pressing to do this weekend, and I didn’t accomplish much, but I had a good time.
On Friday night, my roommate and I decided to go out for dinner, and go to the mall as well as Barnes and Noble and Wal-Mart. We went to the Olive Garden for dinner, and it was probably the best food that I had eaten for at least a week. (Last week I was at home, so I was fed well.) I had been eating at the Shack all week and was thoroughly sick of chicken tenders, so the grilled chicken with cheese tortellini was spectacular. We also decided that we needed to break into the Olive Garden and steal all of their peach tea, because it is quite yummy.
We then traveled to the mall, for at least an hour and a half, and bought basically nothing, then went to Barnes and Noble for about two and a half hours and bought absolutely nothing. Though, on my part, there was a definite desire to get a new book, I just couldn’t find anything that I really wanted. Though, since then, I have found at least four books that I want to get.
I got a bunch of nonsense at Wal-Mart, like mouthwash, and we went back to school. Saturday, I read, helped my friend make a video for her class, and watched half of a movie. Sunday, I played video games and dyed my hair, and dyed a friend’s hair. I also went to Wal-Mart (again) where we purchased, among other things, a zipper tie and a spork. I kid you not. Then I went to bed and it was Monday all over again.
I would like to emphasize the fact that I am not complaining, I rather enjoyed my weekend, but it is amazing how time is frittered away so quickly, and I still have not many of the things that are on my to do list. (Most of which are papers to be written, and books to be read.) I guess that I am ready for Easter, but I will settle for this coming Friday, which is the Relient K / New Found Glory Concert, and I am excited! (Just to let you know, sometimes I wished that I was more organized when writing these journals.)
