Homecoming Letter/2008

Dear Alumni:

This past weekend Saint Vincent College celebrated its annual Homecoming on campus and there is no doubt that all of the alumni in attendance had a fabulous time. The final count is not tabulated yet, but the preliminary results project nearly 1,000 alumni attended the festivities.

Commencing with the dedication of the Fred M. Rogers Center on Thursday evening, visiting alumni had an opportunity to view first hand the dramatic improvements to the campus. Then, on Friday evening, at the Alumni of Distinction dinner, we welcomed nine graduates to a very illustrious group.

On Saturday, the campus was alive with activities. Nearly every athletic team was in action on the campus, and of course, the center of attraction was the presence of the football team competing with Grove City. Be patient my friends; the Bearcats are on the cusp of fielding a winning team! When you return for Homecoming on September 19, 2009, be prepared to see a team challenging for victory.

Saint Vincent College continues to project the same solid Benedictine values that have been part of its history since Boniface Wimmer arrived in 1846. In making your plans for next year, note the Homecoming date and plan to join us.
