Hello to all fellow Bearcats! Recently, I had the privilege of meeting SVC President Jim Towey and Rev. Paul Taylor here in Raleigh, at a reception hosted by a gracious fellow alumnus. I was interested not only in hearing about St. Vincent's latest initiatives, but also in seeing how many of us from around here would attend. To be honest, I wasn't expecting too large of a crowd. But as you know, the Triangle has been attracting educated professionals for decades. As a result, Saint Vincent alumni have managed to establish a significant presence in North Carolina. In fact, one of the phrases I heard during that reception – over and over again – is that "somebody" should start a local alumni chapter. I recently spoke with alumni director Jim Bendel about doing exactly that. My education in Latrobe still means a lot to me, so I'm willing to give this a shot. But I'll need your help. I need to know if you are also interested. I would also be grateful if you would be willing to be an active participant in the organizing committee. If you're game, please feel free to contact me at dan.caugherty@gmail.com, or on my mobile at (919) 995-2459. Let's see if we can make a Triangle chapter a reality! Kindest regards, Dan Caugherty, C'89
