Saint Vincent College, like all private colleges, must rely on three basic sources of income to balance its annual operating budget:

  1. Student Tuition and Fees
  2. Endowment Earnings
  3. Charitable Gifts and Grants.

Charitable Gifts help raise immediate funds for the operating needs of Saint Vincent College. Unrestricted gifts received are used to support all areas of the College, such as:

  • Awarding scholarships and grants for students
  • Enchancing and updating campus facilities
  • Purchasing computer and classroom equipment
  • Providing education-related extra-curricular activities
  • Enriching the operation of student services
  • Acquiring additional library holdings
  • Supporting guest lecture series
  • Research grants
  • School and and department support
  • Travel to conferences and competitions

Because annual gifts are not endowed, your support will impact students immediately.

The Annual Fund provides an opportunity for alumni, parents, and friends to support Saint Vincent College each year. Welcoming gifts of all sizes, Annual Giving raises funds for current student needs.

Throughout our campus – from the classrooms to the library, from our science labs to the Wellness Center – your contribution enables current programs to continue and new initiatives to begin. Your support creates a vibrant campus community and enhances the overall Saint Vincent College student experience.

Why Participation is Important

  • Participation in Annual Giving is a standard measure of satisfaction with a College.
  • Participation is taken into consideration by corporations and foundations when awarding grants, high school seniors and parents when evaluating colleges and universities, and other donors when making their philanthropic decisions.
  • Participation in Annual Giving is also a criteria used in national rankings of colleges and universities.
Every Gift Counts

Gifts of all sizes are welcomed and appreciated. You can participate at a level that is comfortable for you. Each gift, regardless of size, strengthens the College’s participation rate and demonstrates a vote of confidence in a unique Saint Vincent College education.
