Senior psychology major Sarah Johnston used her Palumbo grant to present her research at the Eastern Psychological Association Research Conference in Baltimore. She had the following to say about her research: “My research was part of my senior thesis. The purpose of my research was to look for personality differences between athletes and nonathletes, with particular interest in the difference between runners and other athletes and nonathletes. I was specificially looking for personality characteristics that might lead to eating disorders. No significant results were found.”
