Public- Rine, Wagner, Winters, Aliff Vice President’s Report – Hartbauer thanked everyone who helped out at the concert. It was suggested to sell refreshments outside at the next concert. Hartbauer thanked the Activities Programming Board for all of their hard work and had the senate sign a thank you card. Activities Report – SVC Survivor did not go over very well, however the Western Dance was great. The old time photos were a good attraction. The Price is Right was well attended and it was commented that the food was a good idea. April events include comedian Mike Green and Monte Casino Night. President’s Report – The senate needs to vote on the SGA Awards, which include five seniors, one faculty member, and one administrator. Nomination forms are in the SGA office and should be filled out during office hours. We will vote at the next meeting. Committee Reports – Student Affairs: Campbell passed out a report describing housing for next year. Campbell addressed the issue of blocking in Bonny and Gerry and debate followed. It was moved to let all seniors select housing first, not matter if they have a full block or not, followed by all juniors, etc. Motion passed. FMO: Wimmer lobby renovations should soon be under way. The pool table will be replaced by Tuesday. Caridi commended the senate for the work done at the concert and for showing student leadership around campus. Caridi talked about the Rooney apartments and explained that there is a new meal plan available for students who live in the apartments that will be made up of mostly flex. Students will be able to buy groceries with this flex and they will try to stock what students want. Caridi announced that upper class students will have the opportunity to live in St. Benedict Hall. Parking will change next year due to construction of the Rogers Center. Lot A will shift over into the practice field. The cafeteria will extend into the First Placid hallway next year. Comments that came up during Caridi’s presentation included access to resident halls other than your own (including commuter students) and that class sizes are getting too big.
