Senior chemistry/mathematics major receives Palumbo Grant to present at conference

Alandra Kahl, a chemistry/mathematics/ engineering senior, was recently awarded a Palumbo grant to display a poster presentation of her project ‘The Remediation of Mine Drainage Using Chitosan Microspheres’ at the 2006 American Chemistry Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia.

Library announces hours over Easter break

The Library will be open Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Friday, April 14 through Monday, April 17, the Library will be CLOSED for Easter Break. Library regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 18.

Residence Hall schedule announced for Easter break

Easter Break begins after the last class on Wednesday, April 12. Aurelius, Bonaventure, Gerard, Rooney, Saint Benedict, and Wimmer Halls will be locked from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 and will remain locked until noon on Monday, April 17. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 18. Any student who must remain on campus during the Easter Break MUST register at the Residence Life Office before noon on Friday, April 7. Failure to notify the office by this date may result in non-entry or a fine.

Festival of Praise planned for Friday, April 7

Fr. Fred Byrne, O.S.B., and Cryptora would like to extend an invitation to the Saint Vincent community for a special Festival of Praise evening for Lent: “Fanning the Fire of the Holy Spirit into a Flame.” This event will take place in the crypt of the Saint Vincent Basilica with adoration, confession, praise and worship with Cryptora on Friday, April 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.
