This will be Russ' third season on the varsity squad, and his wealth of athleticism, versatility, and leadership should prove valuable for the Bearcats.

2005: Appeared in 28 games, starting 21...hit six home runs, good for second on the team, while adding a .550 slugging percentage and 16 RBIs...Made four appearances on the mound, striking out nine batters in seven innings...went 2-3 with two doubles and an RBI on Feb. 20th at Chowan...went 2-3 with a double and two runs scored on Mar. 6th at West Virginia Tech...hit three-run home run in conference victory over Point Park on Apr. 9th at Falconi Field...hit a homer and stole two bases at Notre Dame on Apr. 17th...the next day, went 4-6 with a pair of dingers and six RBIs in victory over Westminster...hit two homers in playoff loss at Ohio Dominican on May 5th

2004: Started in 35 games for the AMC North champion Bearcats, hitting .310 (36-115) with six home runs, 10 doubles, 25 RBIs, and 32 runs scored...Also made four appearances and one start on the hill...Named Honorable Mention All-AMC North...went 2-3 with a double and three RBIs in victory over Malone on Mar. 27th...went 4-4 with a homer, double, four runs scored, and three RBIs in victory over Clarion on Apr. 26th...Homered in playoff victory over Shawnee State on May 6th...went 4-5 with a triple and three runs scored in Region IX playoff victory over Rio Grande on May 13th...Homered in Region IX playoff loss against Mt. Vernon Nazarene on May 14th

High School: Lettered in golf, basketball, and football  in addition to baseball at Elk County Christian.
