Jamal Palmer, who spent the 2008-09 season as an assistant coach with the Bearcats, has left SVC to take a similar position with Pitt-Johnstown, where his wife serves at Head Coach of the women's basketball program.

A native of Philadelphia, Palmer joined the SVC staff last season after serving as interim head coach at Slippery Rock. 

"Jamal was an asset to our program last season," said Saint Vincent Coach DP Harris.  "He lives in Johnstown and his wife coaches there, so it is certainly understandable why he is making this move.  Still, he will be missed at Saint Vincent."
