Bearcat senior Ian McCollough, and juniors Joey Butler and Mike Medved, each received Coaches Honors from the Presidents' Athletic Conference. PAC Coaches Honors are the equivalent of all-conference recognition for members of schools, like Saint Vincent, that are in provisional status in NCAA Division-III and the PAC. McCollough, a native of Springdale, MD, enjoyed a dominant senior year on the hardwood. The 6'3" forward led the Bearcats in scoring (17.5 points per game), rebounding (7.0 r/gm), and blocked shots (23), placing fifth in the PAC in all three categories. He scored over 20 points in a game 10 times on the year, and recorded six double-doubles on the year.
McCollough also became the 26th player in team history to eclipse 1,000 career points, and, after the regular season, he stands at 1,115 points, good for 17th all time at Saint Vincent. Butler burst onto the scene in his first season as a Bearcat after transferring from Mount St. Mary's University. The point guard started all 25 games and led the PAC in steals, with 3.36 per game, and finished second in assists, averaging 4.92. A native of Fort Washington MD, Butler also finished the regular season seventh in the PAC in scoring (17.0 ppg) and ninth in free-throw percentage. Medved, a junior forward from Elizabeth, PA, started all 25 games for the Bearcats under the hoop, and averaged 8.2 points and 5.2 rebounds. He finished second in the conference in field goal percentage (58.9%), and added 28 steals and 18 blocked shots. Medved recorded two double-doubles on the season. The Bearcats, coached by DP Harris, finished the regular season with a 21-4 record, and are currently awaiting word in a bid to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division-II playoffs.
