The O*NET is an excellent government site that contains job descriptions for 812 popular occupations. In addition there is a skills assessment tool that helps you identify occupations that are a good match. There are also helpful links to other government sites like the Dictionary of Occupational Handbooks.

WestPACs is the premier recruiting event in western PA sponsored by a consortium of 44 western and central PA colleges and universities. It hosts 2 job fairs a year in the fall and spring semesters. The website has a search engine that allows candidates to serach for internships and full-time employment with links to employers’ homepages.

PERC is one of the largest teacher fairs in the United States. School districts from across the county convene every spring semester in Monroeville for this recruiting event. It is imperative to sign up for this event by the deadline.
