Challenge Director

Donna Hupe is presently an adjunct professor and pre-student teacher/student teacher supervisor at Saint Vincent College.  Donna comes to Saint Vincent with 31 years of teaching in the public and private schools as well as experience as a past coordinator and teacher of a gifted program.  Donna is a member of PAGE (Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education).

Challenge Assistant Director

Kathy Beining is presently the Administrator for the Barbara Thompson Early Literacy Center in Derry, PA.  Kathy is a veteran/certified preschool teacher in the area.  She recently participated in the Early Learning Leadership at SVC and developed a learning module in partnership with the Fred Rogers Center.  Kathy is also an adjunct professor at Saint Vincent College.

Counselors

All Challenge Counselors are undergraduate/graduate students in Education at Saint Vincent College.  The counselors have been interviewed and selected by the Director and Assistant Director.  All counselors have recent clearances on file.

Instructors

Challenge Instructors include past instructors from previous Challenge programs and new instructors for 2009.  All instructors have exemplary credentials and meet the requirements for the Challenge program.
