Tom Harbert, Head Coach
Coach Harbert has coached the wrestling, cross country, and lacrosse teams at Saint Vincent College for 33 years. His student/athletes have participated in various athletic national championships and won numerous Saint Vincent and National academic awards. Harbert was a PA State Wrestling Champion at Shippensburg University and attended the Olympic Trials. He has been awarded the NAIA "District Coach of the Year" and the "Letterman of Distinction Award." While at Saint Vincent he has brought the men's lacrosse team from a club team to a varsity sports program. He coached the North Team in the Allegheny Lacrosse League's All-Star game four times, served as the League's commissioner, and started the Latrobe Summer Lacrosse program. He is also responsible for establishing Saint Vincent College's first women's lacrosse team. Coach Harbert has also been the director for the NIKE Girls Lacrosse camp held on campus since 2004. The 2007 NIKE Girl's Lacrosse Camp will be July 8 - 12 and will feature D-I, D-II and D-III outstanding coaches. Coach Harbert works with youth groups as well as other developmental camps in area. His women's lacrosse team has won the "Sportswomen of The Year Award" sponsored by the Women's Sport Foundation and the Westmoreland YWCA as well as past graduate Hannah Doblick being the recipient of the "Sportswoman of the Year." Three of his players participated in the NCAA North/South Senior All-Star games. For the past three years the Lady Bearcats have been recognized for academic achievement and the 2006 squad made the top 33 teams in the USA, NCAA D-III, named by the IWLCA for Academic Honors and two players selected to the IWLCA Individual Academic Honor Roll. Coach Harbert has worked with the Japanese Lacrosse Association and is currently active on the US Lacrosse College Coaches Council. |























Lindsey graduated from Methodist College, NC with a degree in Physical Education and Teacher Licensure. She is a graduate student in Education at Saint Vincent.
