Dr. Thomas Cline, Head Coach
In 1979, Dr. Thomas Cline won the PIAA State Golf Championship, the same championship that the magnificent Arnold Palmer won twice. Cline was awarded a four-year golf scholarship at the University of Virginia, where he was also named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll in 1981 and 1982. Dr. Cline won the Palmer Match Play Tournament at Latrobe Country Club in 2003, 2005, and 2006. He also won the Club Championship in 2006. Dr. Cline holds the front-nine course record for members at Latrobe with a 6-under par 30. He is an associate professor of marketing at Alex G. McKenna School. Dr. Cline graduated with honors from the University of Virginia in 1984 and was awarded a master of business administration degree from UVA's Darden School in 1987. In 1997, Dr. Cline earned a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati. His teaching honors include the 2004 International Teaching Excellence Award from the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
