SBDC Hosts 'People Compliance in a World Full of Litigation' in Fayette County Oct. 27

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is offering the seminar People Compliance in a World Full of Litigation, on Friday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fay-Penn Economic Development Council, 1040 Eberly Way, Suite 200, Lemont Furnace.

Presenter David J. Baker, SPHR, author of The Everything HR Kit, paves the way for a better understanding of how to protect a company and its owner. Topics include  laws that govern the employment of a workforce, laws that must be incorporated into business operations, mandated laws for everyone and laws that cover all employees regardless of company size, potential cost for non-compliance including fines, lawsuits and settlements.

Baker is the founder, president and managing director/CEO of Human Capital Advisors. He has 30 years of corporate and entrepreneurial human resources and business experience, spanning multiple industries.

People Compliance in a World Full of Litigation is being co-sponsored by the Fay-Penn Economic Development Council. The fee for this program is $45.
