How do I become a member of the Heritage Society of Saint Vincent College?
To become a member of the Heritage Society, contribute $1,000 or more to Saint Vincent College during a fiscal year (July 1-June 30). The total amount includes your contributions and any matching gifts from both your employer and your spouse's employer. Membership is renewed with contributions of $1,000 or more each fiscal year.

What are the membership levels?
The Boniface Wimmer Alliance of the Heritage Society honors those individuals who make annual contributions to Saint Vincent College of $10,000 or more. It is appropriate that Alliance members are named after Saint Vincent’s founder, Archabbot Boniface Wimmer, O.S.B., because they share his devotion to the College’s spiritual heritage, his prescient vision for future growth, and his unwavering leadership during challenging times. Archabbot Wimmer founded Saint Vincent because he believed that the monks of the Benedictine order could provide an education that would have a life-changing impact on their students. Through their annual gifts, members of the Boniface Wimmer Alliance of the Heritage Society express their appreciation for the influence that the Benedictines’ teaching and spiritual guidance has had on their lives.

The Archabbot’s Council of the Heritage Society recognizes those individuals who make annual contributions to Saint Vincent College between $5,000 and $9,999. Council members are acknowledged for sharing an unwavering commitment to Catholic, Benedictine education with Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., who has honored and expanded Boniface Wimmer’s vision for Saint Vincent during his tenure as Chancellor of the College. Under Archabbot Nowicki’s direction and guidance, Saint Vincent is continuing to provide students with a high quality education that is contemporary and responsive to change while still maintaining traditional Benedictine values and heritage.

The President’s Cabinet of the Heritage Society recognizes those individuals who make annual contributions to Saint Vincent College between $1,000 and $4,999. Cabinet members share the President’s belief in the importance of the personalized, Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts education that is Saint Vincent’s hallmark and his commitment and dedication to the future growth of the College.

What are the benefits?
Membership in the Heritage Society includes invitations to special events at the College, and the annual Heritage Society Dinner; discounts on purchases from the College Book Store, Gristmill General Store, and Basilica Gift Shop; and use of the College’s athletic and fitness facilities.

How do I get a membership card?
If you wish to use the athletic and fitness facilities call (724) 537-4574 or jennie.miller@email.stvincent.edu and we will arrange for your photo id to be issued.

Do matching gifts count?
Yes. To arrange a matching gift, contact your human resources or benefits office.  You will receive credit toward Heritage Society membership as soon as your matching gift form or claim is received at Saint Vincent.

Who are this year's members?
College, Prep, and Seminary alumni, parents of current and former students, friends, employees, spouses, and honorary degree recipients have given more than $1.3 million to Saint Vincent College this year. The Heritage Society has grown from 145 members two years ago when it began to over 300 members this year.
