    About Dr. Fazzi: 

    Dr. Fazzi is a professor of accounting of the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics, and Government.

    Dr. Fazzi earned a bachelor of science degree in 1970 at Penn State University where he earned a master of business administration degree in 1974 and a Ph.D. in accounting in 1983.

    A former professor of accounting at Robert Morris College (now Robert Morris University), he also served as Edgar T. Bitting Professor of Accounting at Elizabethtown College. He also has taught at Bucknell University, Arizona State University and North Texas State University. In addition, he was a visiting professor of accounting at both Old Dominion University and Texas Christian University, and a graduate teaching and research assistant while at Penn State.

    As a corporate consultant, Dr. Fazzi has advised Duquesne Light Company, National Steel Corporation and National Intergroup Incorporated in Pittsburgh, as well as Hercules Incorporated in Wilmington, Delaware. He also was an instructor in personal financial family tax planning for National Tax Seminars in Portland, Oregon, and a consultant in the Bucknell Small Business Development Center at Bucknell University.

    Dr. Fazzi is listed in Who's Who in America and has been honored with several teaching and scholarship awards. His professional affiliations include memberships in the Institute of Management Accountants for which he serves as a member of the Ethics Committee and the American Accounting Association.

    Dr. Fazzi is the author of numerous articles for scholarly publications. His most recent article, "Enron, Arthur Andersen, and the Teaching of Accounting," appears in the summer 2002 edition of the Pennsylvania CPA Journal. He also is a contributor to Study Guide to Accompany Financial Reporting and Analysis, published this year by Prentice Hall. In addition, he is a frequent presenter at accounting educator conferences and has served as a technical producer for several videoconference productions.

    A Philadelphia native, Dr. Fazzi and his wife, Millie, currently reside in the Latrobe area. They are the parents of two sons, Matthew,  and Stephen.

    In his spare time, Dr. Fazzi enjoys golfing, spending time on his computer and reading mysteries.
