Wendell enters his second season for the Bearcats after making a big impact at the defensive tackle position in 2007.  Last season, he made nine appearances and seven starts, finishing with 10.5 tackles, including 1.5 for a loss.  A graduate of St. John Central HS, he was a four-year letterwinner in both football and wrestling, and was named senior captain in both sports.  He also played once season apiece of both baseball and track.  Born 6-15-89, Wendell is the son of Wendell and Missy Habig.  He is majoring in Communication.
