The Presidents' Athletic Conference has awarded four Bearcats with Coaches' Honors for their play in 2007. In a vote of conference coaches, SVC running back Logan Small, tight end Sheldon Loughner, wide out Rob James, and defensive back Quillian Reid all received PAC Coaches' Honors. Small (Gipsy, PA/Purchase Line HS), a freshman, started all 10 games for the Bearcats, and finished the season with a team-leading 396 yards, while scoring three touchdowns. He also caught seven passes out of the backfield for 111 yards, good for a 15.9 average. Loughner (West Leechburg, PA/Leechburg), also a freshman, played in eight games this season. After entering the season as a wide receiver, he quickly adjusted to the tight end position, and hauled in eight passes for 145 yards, good for an average of 24.5 yards per reception. He also caught a pair of touchdowns, including an 80-yarder in SVC's season finale against Thiel. James (Jeannette, PA/Jeannette), a sophomore, caught 14 passes on the season for a team-high 279 yards (19.9 yards per reception). He had two catches that went for over 80 yards, including an 86-yard touchdown in week one against Gallaudet, and an 84-yarder at Geneva in week seven. James also was a kick returner for the Bearcats, returning six kickoffs for 137 yards, good for an average of 22.8 yards. Reid (Fort Myers, FL/Fort Myers), a freshman, battled through injury, and appeared in seven games for the Bearcats in 2007. He made 18 tackles on the year, had four passes defended, and shared the team lead with two interceptions, good for fifth in the PAC. PAC Coaches' Honors are the equivalent of all-conference recognition for schools, like Saint Vincent, that are in provisional status in NCAA Division-III.
