The Saint Vincent Bearcat lacrosse team improved to 2-0 with a thrilling overtime victory over Catawba College. Ian Poole scored a shorthanded goal just 42 seconds into overtime to seal the win for the Bearcats. The winning play began when SVC goalie Alden Ainsworth made a stellar save then simply threw the ball nearly the length of the field in an attempt to clear the zone and kill the penalty. Catawba's goalie and one of their defenders each went after the ball, and the defender managed to catch the long throw. However, his stick bent backward from the velocity of the ball, causing it to pop out, right into Poole's stick. He then tossed the ball into the open net for the win. Bart Costello led the Bearcat offense on the day with 6 goals, while Evan Chateauneuf added four goals and four assists. SVC led 8-1 at the end of the first quarter but allowed the home team to get back into the game.

The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 after defeating Wingate University (NC) on the road by a score of 13-5. Bart Costello scored four goals for SVC, while Ian Poole added three goals and a pair of assists. Evan Chateauneuf recorded two goals and two assists, as did Tim Maser. Luke Swerdlow and Tim O'Branski added the other SVC tallies.

The Saint Vincent Bearcats defeated Seton Hill University on the road by a score of 17-13, thanks in part to a six-point, record setting day for senior Ian Poole. Poole's first assist of the afternoon pushed him past his brother, Bryan, to become the school's all-time leading scorer. A senior from North Delta, British Columbia, Ian tallied three goals and three assists on the afternoon. Evan Chateauneuf scored four goals to go along with one assist, while Bill Leiendecker added four goals. Bart Costello had a five-point day with three goals and two assists, while Kevin Thomas, Tim Maser and Tim O'Branski each scored once. Assists were recorded by Thomas and Mark Fields. Alden Ainsworth saved 9 shots in goal, while Rob Beausigneur saved one shot late in the game.

The Bearcats lost a close game on the road by a score of 10-9 to Wittenburg. SVC struggled through the first half before finally taking the lead midway throug the 3rd quarter, and led 9-8 late in the game, but Wittenberg fought back for the victory. Ian Poole led all scorers with 3 goals and one assist. Bart Costello followed with 3 goals. Tim O’Branski chipped in from midfield with a goal and two assists, while Tim Maser found the net once. Luke Swerdlow and Kevin Thomas had one assist each.

The Saint Vincent Bearcats won their long-awaited home opener, downing the Pitt Panthers by a score of 19-10. Senior Ian Poole led the way with a 7-point effort (three goals, four assists). Luke Swerdlow and Bill Leiendecker each added three goals, while Swerdlow also tallied an assist. The Bearcats were able to complete the season sweep of cross-town rival Seton Hill, defeating the Griffins 13-9 at Saint Vincent.

The Saint Vincent Bearcat season ended with a 10-8 loss on the road against Goucher College in Maryland. SVC led 4-3 at the half, but Goucher scored four times in the third quarter to take the lead. Saint Vincent tied the score at 7-7 on an Evan Chateauneuf goal with 12:49 remaining, but Goucher scored the next three goals to seal the win. Ian Poole led the Bearcat attack with three goals. Bill Leiendecker and Chateauneuf each scored twice, while Tim Maser added a goal and two assists. Bart Costello also had a pair of assists. Alden Ainsworth went the distance in goal, making 15 saves.
