Tracy H. Branson
Vice President for Institutional Advancement
I am delighted to say hello and take the opportunity to introduce myself.
While I am a new member of the Saint Vincent community, I am no stranger to private higher education! In my twenty plus years in advancement, I have served four private colleges and two public universities, My commitment to higher education is strong, but I believe private liberal arts institutions like Saint Vincent provide a level of quality in the educational, social and spiritual development of young men and women that is unmatched at larger and public universities.
My choice to join Saint Vincent was based on many factors, but I want to briefly share with you those that “tipped the scales” for me. First, I am inspired by the Saint Vincent community—the quality, loyalty and dedication of the administration, faculty, staff and student body are evident across the campus. I am encouraged by the strides the College has made in the recent past, particularly in enrollment. Not only has Saint Vincent achieved record enrollments, it also has increased the quality as well as the ethnic and geographic diversity of its student population. Also significant is Saint Vincent’s ranking as one of the top colleges in the nation by Forbes magazine. I am impressed by Saint Vincent’s resolve to enhance educational opportunities for its current and future students in areas like the study abroad program and the new science center.
Finally, I know that these and the many other noteworthy examples of progress and distinction would not have been possible without the loyalty, involvement and investment of Saint Vincent’s alumni and friends. It is your commitment to the institution that ensures its long term success. Your willingness to support the College in myriad ways ensures that our students get the quality educational experience that is our hallmark.
I couldn’t be more pleased to be at Saint Vincent and to be part of a team that makes good things happen for this great College! I look forward to meeting you in person, but until we have that opportunity, please let me know any time we can serve you!
