Network
Students can connect their personal computers to the campus network using the network ports available in each room.
- Students are required to bring a network cable in order to connect to the network, as wireless access in the residence halls is limited to the lobby area.
- If a student wishes to bring their own wireless router to obtain wireless access, the router must be configured by Information Services prior to use. For more information, please see this knowledgebase article.
- All student computers must be registered with our network prior to being granted internet access.
- This is an automated process that occurs when the computer is first connected to the network.
- Information Services staff will be present in each residence hall on move-in day to assist with problems.
- Students using the campus network are expected to abide by our Good Netizen rules, which can be found on our knowledgebase.
- Since the automated registration process does not work with game consoles (XBox, Playstation, etc.), they must be registered manually. Please see this knowledgebase article for more information.
Telephone
